IBAK – Al Mulla Exchange Cup 2025 Concludes with Enthusiastic Participation and Exciting Matches

The IBAK – Al Mulla Exchange Cup 2025, one of Kuwait’s most anticipated badminton tournaments, concluded successfully on October 31, 2025, after two days of high-energy matches and spirited sportsmanship.

The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Praveen Singh, Director – Financial Services, Al Mulla Group, at its Salwa Gym (Saad Al Awzi School) on October 30, 2025 in the presence IBAK Chairman, Dr. Manimara Chozhan

The event, organized in collaboration with IBAK (Indian Badminton Association Kuwait), saw participation from badminton enthusiasts across Kuwait, showcasing the growing popularity of the sport within the community. A record number of 300+ participants from around 16 badminton clubs in Kuwait took part in the tournament.

A total of seven competitive categories were featured this year:
  • Beginners
  • Lower Intermediate
  • Higher Intermediate
  • Ladies Doubles
  • Advanced
  • Above 40 (Non-Professional) Doubles
  • Professional Doubles
Over the two days, players displayed remarkable talent, teamwork, and determination, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition and camaraderie. The tournament not only highlighted athletic excellence but also underscored Al Mulla Exchange’s continued commitment to promoting sports, wellness, and community engagement in Kuwait. Speaking at the event, Mr. Praveen Singh expressed his appreciation for the participants and organizers: “We are proud to support initiatives like the IBAK Al Mulla Exchange Cup that bring people together through sport. Events like these reflect our values of teamwork, integrity, and community spirit — values that are deeply embedded in Al Mulla Exchange’s culture.” Trophies and cash awards were presented to winners and runners-up across all categories during the closing ceremony, which was attended by senior representatives from Al Mulla Exchange, IBAK committee members, and members of the badminton community. The success of the IBAK – Al Mulla Exchange Cup 2025 reinforces the organization’s commitment to supporting sporting activities and fostering a healthy, active lifestyle among residents of Kuwait. In line with its vision to promote badminton in Kuwait, IBAK regularly provides coaching for beginners, intermediate and advanced players, which is done by reputed overseas coaches. IBAK also conducts competitive tournaments throughout the year. IBAK will be conducting the 12th edition of IBAK Interschool Tournament in the 1st week of December 2025. Regular tournaments and competition can best achieve the results as outlined above. Tournaments also provide for a platform through which a player can advance from novice level to higher levels.
